How to Create and Publish Ad Campaign in Facebook?
Facebook Ads is a great way to promote your business or brand, promote your products, get conversions, generate leads, or get traffic to your website. I think most of you would have heard about Facebook Ads, but really did not have to try. That’s why we published post introduction of Facebook Ads some time ago.
In that article we had known what it is exactly and what its benefits are. But in today’s article we will know how you can actually use them for your benefit. In other words, today I will show you an example by creating a Facebook campaign campaign.
What is Facebook Ad Campaign?
Campaign is used as a campaign for advertising in Facebook. You can understand it as if your company has launched a new product whose responsibility of promotion has been given to you. So in this case, if you want to advertise on Facebook, you will create an ad campaign and will define how long you have to do this promotion.
When we do this advertisement process in limited period of time, it is given the name of an ad campaign.
Facebook has created a very good and user-friendly Ads Manager platform for advertisers so that a beginner can publish ads by making ads more and more easily.
So, I’m just going to say that you are interested in this Digital Marketing or online advertising field and want to know how to create ads in Facebook. So let’s start.
Step by Step Guide to Creating Ad Campaign in Facebook
First of all you have to login to your Facebook account. Then you have to go to the dropdown menu of your account. There you get lots of options, including the option of Create Ads and Manage Ads. To create a new ad campaign, click on the Create Ads option.
If you had first clicked on this option, it would give you a brief intro and ask you to create a new Facebook Ads account. You just have to create an account by clicking on the button on the Create button, giving it any name. In every step, Facebook’s interactive and dynamic interface will guide you perfectly.
You will see a symbol of “i” next to each option in the Facebook ads interface. You can learn about that option by hovering your mouse over it. So basically this is a helpful guiding option.
After this, the Facebook page of Facebook Ads Creation will open in front of you, in which you will have many types of Ad Campaign Types. You have to choose any ad campaign type from your own.
Different types will help you with different types of promotions. If you just have to make your brand’s name popular, then you can choose Brand Awareness, if you want traffic to your website, then you can choose Traffic, if you want to get conversions, then you choose the Conversions or the Catalog Sales option. There are 4 Major Phases to create any ad campaign for Facebook:
- Selecting Marketing Objective
- Creating Ad Set
- Creating Ad
- Submit for review
There are no such types of Facebook ads campaign. There are many more options in each step. Now these options vary, according to the different marketing objectives and consideration which you choose in the first step.
Now every single option can not be explained in this article, because the count of options of all the marketing objectives will be very much. So in this article I have given you a brief introduction of every single phase so that you can create and manage your own ad campaign.
Selecting Marketing Objective
As I told you earlier, when you create an account in the section containing the Create Ads, again whenever you come into this section, this will be the first step and you have to choose your marketing objectives in it such as Brand Awareness, Lead Generation, Conversions, etc.

Creating Ad Set
In Ad Set, we basically define the limits of ad campaign, audience, interests, budget and placements. First of all you have to give Ad Set any name and then you have to choose the audience. In this, the audience choice is according to the location of which place you want to show your ad in the circle. Such as Islamabad, Lahore, Delhi, Hyderabad, London or the whole country, complete city etc.
Just like you have to set the interest that Facebook will show your ad only to those people who are interested in what you have defined.
Whatever audit you would like, audience and interest, Facebook will also calculate with you and tell you how many people can reach your ad at least and at a maximum. Basically this tells you the estimated results.
After this, you have to define where Facebook shows your ads, such as Instagram, Facebook Desktop Version, Mobile Version etc.
I would recommend that if you are a beginner then you can leave it on automatic placements. With this option, Facebook will show ads for you at different locations.
After this, you have to set your budget so that you want to spend on this particular ad campaign. If you run ad in between two or more days, then you have to pay your daily budget and you can also set it on weekly basis.
In this option, you have to actually create the ad. You can either create a new ad for ad or select any post from any of your Facebook pages as an ad.
You have to link some Facebook page with every ad type because Facebook shows your ads only on the side of your Facebook Page. This means that every one of your ads will be the name of your Facebook linked page.
After this you have to choose the format of Ad and by that format, upload images and videos etc., make the ad complete. Facebook gives you many ad format options such as Full-Screen Experience, Carousel, Multiple Images, Single Image, Single Video, Combination of All Formats type etc.
After this, you have to advertise the Call to Action button or the appropriate links, these options totally depend on your marketing objectives and are different. Next to each option, there are further advanced options so that you can run your ad campaign in a highly customized manner.
Submit for review
When you fully create AdSet and Ad, you have to submit your ad for review phase of Facebook. You will then have to wait for Approval. Many times the approval is received in a few minutes and sometimes it takes some hours.
Once you get an Approval, your ad runs according to schedule and when you are finished, you see the results in your Ads Manager. You can export results in Excel or CSV format from Ads Manager.

When you create your first ad campaign, this last step asks you to advertise as much money as your budget, and at the time of account creation you also ask your desired currency.
The more money your money runs to run, the more money you have to add to your account first. You can add money by going to Payment Settings at any time. Facebook provides you MasterCard and Visa Card payment options.
